These chickens form part of my Ugly Art Movement. They have been made with one of my signature techniques where I create a blind contour drawing and then add colour using gouache. They are both A5 in size (14.8cm wide x 21cm high).
The first step I take when making these paintings is I do a blind contour drawing before adding colourful gouache.
The CHICKEN CLOSE UP has had the line work drawn in charcoal and then sealed before gouache was applied.
The WHOLE BODY CHICKEN has had the line work drawn in pencil before gouache had been applied.
